I am required to write a campaign strategy for my political science class in college. It is suppose to be written as a campaign memo to my campaign staff and the candidate himself. I don’t even know what a campaign memo, and I have no idea where to start. Ideas? It is a rallying cry. How would a system of direct election of the president affect the political campaigning strategy of the presidential campaigns? Without an electoral college large urban centers would benefit and rural states and regions would suffer. This would most likely benefit minorities and liberals as they tend to be found in greater numbers in big cities like New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. Republican candidates would have to modify their campaigning strategy to appeal to these types of voters.
