why are republican strategist eager to see democrats win white house in 2008?
hint: it has to do with their policies of the last 8 years and some chickens that will come home to roost, and how they want to be the party out of power and being critical of the democrats when the you know what hists the fan. and how they want to come back and blame it all on democrats. They don’t want to be stuck with this mess. They are hoping a democrat wins so they can rewrite history and blame the other guys. addthis_url = 'http%3A%2F%2Fpoliticalcampaignstrategy.org%2Frepublican-strategist%2Fwhy-are-republican-strategist-eager-to-see-democrats-win-white-house-in-2008'; addthis_title = 'why+are+republican+strategist+eager+to+see+democrats+win+white+house+in+2008%3F'; addthis_pub = ''; … Read entire article »

How do you become a political strategist?
Or, the person who figures out the counterpoint arguments for a candidate. The person above has the right idea. You need to work in a think tank or for political candidates, usually have a degree in something like communications or political science/public policy, and be good at strategy (which is a very particular skill). You demonstrate that skill through working with a candidate/politician or working at a research institute or think tank. addthis_url = 'http%3A%2F%2Fpoliticalcampaignstrategy.org%2Fpolitical-strategist%2Fhow-do-you-become-a-political-strategist'; addthis_title = 'How+do+you+become+a+political+strategist%3F'; addthis_pub = ''; … Read entire article »

What is one political strategy that would allow the US to resolve the situation in Iraq?
Aside from what the politicians think, and how they think they can resolve the situation in Iraq, how do YOU think this situation can be resolved politically? Here is your chance to tell the world (even the President) how this war can be resolved. Obviously, you must take into account our current state of affairs, including all the lives that have already been lost and the potential for more lives to be lost. This question is for a political solution alone. I will post a separate question for a military solution, if there could be one. nuke em’ addthis_url = 'http%3A%2F%2Fpoliticalcampaignstrategy.org%2Fpolitical-strategy%2Fwhat-is-one-political-strategy-that-would-allow-the-us-to-resolve-the-situation-in-iraq'; addthis_title = 'What+is+one+political+strategy+that+would+allow+the+US+to+resolve+the+situation+in+Iraq%3F'; addthis_pub = ''; … Read entire article »

Advise on a political campaign?
I am about to launch myself in a campaign to represent the students of my faculty in the university council, which deals with budget, internal laws of the university and internal investigations. I would like some advises on how to run my campaign, publicity strategy, and my campaign promises. Many students like unrealistic, unachievable promises; I will narrow my promises to realistic goals. In such a small election, it’s all about who you know. Build a network among your friends of those who will vote for you, and who will help spread the word to their friends, and their friends, and their friends, etc. addthis_url = 'http%3A%2F%2Fpoliticalcampaignstrategy.org%2Fpolitical-campaign-strategy%2Fadvise-on-a-political-campaign'; addthis_title = 'Advise+on+a+political+campaign%3F'; addthis_pub = ''; … Read entire article »

What exactly is a democratic/republican strategist?
Could someone tell me what exactly these people do, and what do they do when its not an election year? Thank you. They analyze politics and try to figure out the best way to win. I would assume they have their own version of the teachers’ "summer vacation" when it’s not an election year. addthis_url = 'http%3A%2F%2Fpoliticalcampaignstrategy.org%2Frepublican-strategist%2Fwhat-exactly-is-a-democraticrepublican-strategist'; addthis_title = 'What+exactly+is+a+democratic%2Frepublican+strategist%3F'; addthis_pub = ''; … Read entire article »

How much credibility does Karl Rove have now as a political strategist?
I know that shortly before he died, the late Lee Atwater was extremely remorseful about the political tactics he employed. Karl Rove became his heir apparent and continued the tradition of wedge issue politics and smear tactics. In light of today’s changing political landscape, aren’t Karl Rove’s political strategies and tactics virtually obsolete or almost devoid of their former effectiveness? By "changing political landscape", I mean the reality that the Republican Party is shrinking as a percentage of the electorate. The Republican Party now constitutes only 27% of the electorate. By 2012, this will be an even smaller figure. By "political landscape" I mean exactly what Karl Rove refers to when he analyzes the county by county breakdown of registered voters and their political party affiliation. This is the "political landscape" that is … Read entire article »

What are some effective political strategies to keep America a christian nation?
Since the US was established as a secular nation I see no legal or rational political strategies that could possibly be imposed to over ride the basic principles of the separation of church and state that have been so wisely followed since our inception. addthis_url = 'http%3A%2F%2Fpoliticalcampaignstrategy.org%2Fpolitical-strategies%2Fwhat-are-some-effective-political-strategies-to-keep-america-a-christian-nation'; addthis_title = 'What+are+some+effective+political+strategies+to+keep+America+a+christian+nation%3F'; addthis_pub = ''; … Read entire article »

Is the Republican Political Strategy a good idea?
Thanks to carelessness we now know the Republicans political strategy is based on trying to further destroy the US economy and undermine the global war on terror. Is this a good strategy or is it perhaps treasonous? I don’t think they are intentionally destroying the economy. The republicans don’t want you to see these search results though: http://www.google.com/#hl=en&q=who+is+better+for+the+economy+republicans+or+democrats&start=0&sa=N&fp=18ec2db39eb50b9d If you want a good economy, democrats have the upper hand. The link above is a search for who is better for the economy republicans or democrats. You would think it would be 50/50 in arguments both ways. NOT. Every site you can visit with historical facts clearly show democrats are way better for the economy than republicans. addthis_url = 'http%3A%2F%2Fpoliticalcampaignstrategy.org%2Fpolitical-strategy%2Fis-the-republican-political-strategy-a-good-idea'; addthis_title … Read entire article »

Do you think John McCain’s campaign suspension was a political strategy?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080925/ap_on_el_pr/mccain_s_gambit This article brings up an interesting point. What do you think? Plumberrock: I am a Republican and I am having serious doubts about his agenda on this one. Gardenerforgod: I have been watching things on TV and I would agree that this is a very serious situation. Somehow I believe that the election of a new President is a very serious situation as well. John McCain has missed 412 votes out of 643 in the senate. So now he suddenly cares? As far as he is concerned at this point their is not much he can do. As President he could do much more. Regardless of anything this will still be an issue on November 4th and when the new President is sworn into office in January. Absolutely it was a political ploy. … Read entire article »
